The Doggy Day Care Chronicles

The end of the week is coming near, and the dog pictures do not stop.
My camera roll is completely full of pictures of dogs, and humans barely are featured on my camera roll.

Every day is an adventure when you are spending this much time with dogs. There is never a day where we get the exact same dogs that we had the previous day, so every day is truly a unique experience.

And, I attempt to capture every special day on camera, but too an extent. Being present and being alert is extremely important at my job, as I am being held responsible for taking care of live animals.
It is important to find a balance between capturing their special moments with you on camera and just experiencing it. This is much harder said than done!
Even the most camera-loving dogs get sick of me chasing them around dog yards, or essentially becoming their full-time papparazzi, just to attempt to capture them on camera.
My tip?
Be sure to split each photoshoot up by giving them lots of pets and love, and carrying some treats around does not hurt.
Make sure to show them how much you appreciate their beautiful moments that they allow you to capture, just to make you happy, by suffocating them with love and by not letting your camera become the definition of your friendship.
Spend time with them and look at them through the lenses of your eyes rather than just through the lense of your camera.

Stay tuned for more doggy day care chronicles, and an even better bunch of photos that are too cute not to share!

The number of dogs that I have become friends with through my job has become very large, and I am only hoping to increase my presence in the dog community in-and-around the Boulder County area.
