Harlee Jo, my favorite Red Heeler puppy, got to frolick and to play, and it is safe to say that she had a great time playing fetch.

Huji-tize Me

Huji, Huji, Huji – Can’t you see? Sometimes, your app hyptonizes me.

Huji is the newest and latest photography application for the iPhone that has become widely popular among our pop culture, especially for individuals who utilize social media platforms.

We are always looking to find various photography that applications that assist us in getting us “THAT SHOT.”
Lately, the pop culture society has jumped on-board of the camera applications that mimic vintage, or disposable, cameras to produce photographs that appear like they were shot using that kind of camera.
In Huji’s case, the photography application mimics the filter and the effects of a disposable camera, automatically filtering the photograph as soon as you take it. The photo application even date stamps the photos for you to the current date, which is a very cool perk to the application. The application successfully executes a high-quality photography application that allows individuals to shoot film, essentially, without having to go through the costs and the labor of using a legitimate film camera, and as a result, having to develop the film.

As ironic as it is, the further that technology progresses the more that individuals seek to go back in time and use technology of the past.
Huji is no exception to this rule.

With things, such as portrait mode, available, that shoots at such high-quality, it makes you wonder why our society is so interested and curious to go back in time to the age when disposable cameras were the only cameras we could use. Disposable cameras do not have the leisure and luxury of shooting at such high-qualities, such as the most recent iPhones do with the portrait mode. In fact, details and the quality were harder to distinguish and often lost in translation, as our camera technology at the time did not allow to shoot at such high-quality.

The great thing about this application is that it shoots at a fairly high-quality, producing photos that are exceptional and way beyond my expectations for the application.
I am impressed by the quality and the PRICE (it is free!) of the application, because for a no price, this application proves to be a winner and an application that everyone should try.

I am a big fan of this application and recommend for all those individuals who may enjoy photography! This is a great photography application for your iPhone.
The gallery and compilation of photographs are also conveniently stored on your iPhone, or backed up onto your iCloud, or your laptop, so you do not need to worry about losing a photograph forever.

I have included a gallery of my work with Huji thus far, and I am not disappointed.
Check it out ♥

This is only the beginning of my adventures with Huji – and, as you can already tell, I have adventured hard with this application already.

Hope you enjoy the photographs & stay tuned for more Huji business!

Download the application on your app store on your phone FOR FREE. Simply search the word ‘huji’ in the search bar and the application should come up.

The Best In The Midwest

Wisconsin, Wisconsin, Wisconsin…

WOW! You sure do live up to your name! YOU TRULY BLEW ME OUT OF THE WATER.

I truly did not know exactly what the state of Wisconsin was going to be like, let along what it was going to look like.
I imagined Wisconsin to be completely different than what it turned out to be, and boy, am I glad that my imagination downplayed the beauty of Wisconsin, because I was SHOCKED at how beautiful it was once I had arrived.

Wisconsin is an oasis, with lakes at every exit of the highway!
There was a surplus of lakes and lush greenery, and it was truly breathtaking.
Summers in Wisconsin are the definition of bliss.
The scenery within the state of Wisconsin is stunning! I would have to agree that it is truly the best in the Midwest.IMG_3224IMG_3202IMG_3201IMG_3200IMG_3199IMG_3198IMG_3197IMG_3196IMG_3114IMG_3113IMG_3112

Being so close to any water, whether it be a lake, river, etc., is a concept that is completely unfamiliar to me, as I grew up in the landlocked state of Colorado. I never grew up around water, so playing by and playing on the water was something that was extremely exciting for me.

While “lake life” in Wisconsin can not be beat, neither can the sunsets.
During my short-but-sweet stay in Wisconsin,  I saw a handful of breathtaking sunsets that literally had my jaw all the way to the floor.
Most of my time was spent in Occonomowac, Wisconsin on Lac La Belle, and watching the sunsets from the lake was one of the most incredible things I have witnessed!
IMG_3207IMG_3206IMG_3205Processed with VSCO with c1 presetIMG_3210IMG_3209IMG_3208

I even had multiple opportunities to watch the fireworks of the lake, which was another gorgeous site and one that should not have been missed!
Due to the fireban that extends throughout Colorado, I will not be able to experience an AMAZING firework show, and normally, do not get the opportunity to watch them.
Every night, there always seemed to be at least one firework show happening in the distance. I finally got to see a REAL FIREWORK SHOW at least once a day.

I clearly had no idea what I was missing out on!

Lac La Belle was gorgeous, if you could not already tell, and a great place to cool off for the Summer.
I spent A SURPLUS of time in the lake, as this was my first time spending significant amounts of time by the water.
My irrational fear of deep water, even though I can swim and participated in swim team, subsided, as the calm and serenity of the lake overtook my irrational fear.
I spent as many hours as possible swimming in the lake, tanning by the lake, tanning on the water, jet skiing, on boat rides, and even paddle boarding.
These are all activities that I cannot normally do in Boulder, Colorado, so I found them especially exciting.
I also finally got to wear and use my numerous bathing suits for reasons other than tanning, or not actually going in the water. Some of my bathing suits saw more action than they have in years, and their entire existence!

IMG_3215IMG_3214img_3192.jpg

It took 23 years for me to finally get to know the water on a more deeper level, but I definitely do not regret it for a second.

Lake culture is super exciting and it was a pleasure getting to know all the rules of the lake. Ironically, or not so ironically, the number one rule of the lake is the golden rule, which is treat people how you want to be treated.
People were extremely friendly on the lake, if that was any consolation that the world still does have good, friendly people around.

The toys that people had for the lake were GREAT, and so much fun to play with. I had never seen so many paddle boards, jet skies, boats, floaties of all shapes, sizes, and species, etc. I just wanted to play with them all!
The most challenging part of the trip was making sure to allocate my time appropriately, so I could get acquainted with every lake toy that I had access to.

To say that I had fun is an understatement, because this one of my favorite trips that I have ever been on in a while! I honestly did not expect to have this fun, or rather did not know that I could have this much fun!!
I was a little bit out of my comfort zone, however, that was exactly what I was looking for.

Wisconsin allowed me the power to mentally, emotionally, and physically take a vacation from my current reality in Boulder, Colorado, which had been stressing me out.
My goal of my vacation time in Wisconsin was simply to leave my worries, anxieties, and circumstances at home, and do exactly what one is to do on vacation, which is to relax, have fun, and to forget that you have any worries.
It will forever hold a special place in my heart and I will never forget it.
I am looking for some more vacations to Wisconsin, especially in the Summer and by any lake for that matter!

My favorite part about Wisconsin, minus the beautiful scenery and landscape and the lake, was the custard that could be found everywhere! Growing up in Boulder, I did not get to indulge in much custard, but Wisconsin allows ample opportunities to get a taste of the good life.

Wisconsin has a certain kind of beauty and charm that captivated me and made me fall in love with the state!
Who would have thought that admist all the corn fields and flat horizons of the Midwest that it would contain such a beautiful place? I most certainly did not.

Wisconsin, your lakes, your beaches, your forestry, your sunsets and your custard will most certainly be missed!
I already miss waking up to a view of the blue waters of the lake.

I will be back to Wisconsin very soon, but I had to leave because the mountains (my job) were calling me back.

I would call Wisconsin a Summer’s paradise, and I would consider one of my favorite places to spend my Summers.
Where do you enjoy spending your Summers?

What Is Going On Outside? 🌲🌿🍃

Exploratory excursions are necessary for cleansing my soul, resetting my mood, clearing my thoughts, or getting out my anxiety. There is something safe about being in nature, and it brings me a sense of calm, peace, happiness, and serenity. It is not every day that you can find something that has that kind of effect on you.

“Cash me outside” – literally, all Summer long.

Nature provides me an infinite playground, as well as a free gym, where I can work out without a worry in my world.

Boulder, Colorado is a wonderful place to call a playground, as nature extends to the horizons and there is never a shortage of hiking trails or scenic overlooks. It is a wonderful natural playground – maybe even one of the best.

I do not even need to turn my frown upside down, because I am not ever frowning, especially after all the time I have spent outside.

It is important to take your breathe away every once in a while, and the cheapest and most beautiful way to take your breathe away is to surround yourself in nature. Go outside! You will be surprised with what you can find when you are outside.

Nature has endless amounts of beauty to give the world, and it is up to us to attempt to enjoy and to appreciate as much of it as we possibly can.

Exploring in nature is super exciting and very thrilling for me. I love nothing more than conquering a new hike, seeing a new view, breathing oxygen, being surrounded by everything other than buildings, and getting to see sunlight.

It is easy to take nature for granted, especially for someone who is so spoiled with such a beautiful landscape and backyard. There is always nature to be explored and Summer is great and favorable weather to explore what Mother Nature has to offer. Do not let these all natural beauties go to waste, or be left untouched.

Pull off of a highway, or try a new hike. You could be surprised by what you could find if you just simply go a little off-trail. The world has so much more to offer than our eyes can even begin to see and our brains can begin to conceptualize.

Enjoy your Mother (Earth)! Take care of her and do not let her go to waste.

Adventure Time

There is never a bad day to take a ride up a mountain and immerse yourself into nature, even on a Sunday. After a long winter being deprived of nature, I have found myself missing my time outside.

Boulder, Colorado is full of incredible natural treasures, just a drive away. These kind of epic views are not accessible to just anyone and should never be taken advantage of.

This all natural adventure allowed me a chance to connect to my coworker on a deeper level. It is amazing how nature can bring people together.

I have included a gallery of our outdoorsy adventure on Flagstaff Mountain, one of Boulder’s major landmarks. Our spontaneous adventure also included a trip to Gross Reservoir, which can be deemed Boulder’s very own beach.

The day was full of smiles and carefree living, as well as plenty of nature.

The power that nature can have on your mood, your outlook, and your overall health is incredible, even in small doses. Nature is where I find my serenity and do my best thinking.

Find some clarity in nature.
